Fortunato, ‘Flash’, is by the legendary Dutch sire Flemmingh, one of the most influential sires of dressage horses in Holland. Flash has a superb temperament, he is highly trainable and has been out winning with his amateur owner this year with elementary championships and percentages of more than 67%. Flash also had his first medium start with his owner who was also having her first start. The result - a brilliant second place. Flemmingh’s Grand Prix offspring are renowned worldwide, for example Australian Grand Prix horse Rambo (Mary Hanna), as well as Krack C (Anky van Grunsven), Lingh (Edward Gal) and Melviner. Fortunato’s dam is by the imported stallion Dutchman, lending an extra layer of international breeding. Because of Flash’s unique talent and trainability he is going to appeal to a very diverse field of riders ranging from the nervous amateur, right through to the ambitious competitor. Flash is already training through the advanced movements and presents a rare opportunity to ride straight into the dressage arena and progress very quickly to FEI level.
